Paige and Penny’s big day at the state fair

Paige Masten and her cow, Penny, walked in the West Pavilion Cattle Barn at the Indiana State Fair while waiting to go to the show arena.
The two were a picture-perfect pair. Paige and her sister, of Lebanon, were both dressed in black and white, matching Penny’s spots. Penny even walked in sync with Paige as they returned to her pen.
The Masten sisters appeared to be pros as they cleaned the pens and made sure everything was show ready. It was Penny’s first time being shown at the Indiana State Fair as she was just born in March. Paige has been working with her to get ready all summer, including a long day of preparation before the show Friday.
“I don’t think I’m going to get first,” said Paige. “But I don’t think I’m going to get last.”
